Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Omega Omega Chapter is proud to do its part to help improve our environment. Our National Motto, “service to all mankind” is the foundation for the volunteer work that we, the Ladies of Kappa Omega Omega Chapter do in the community. The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. are known as the ladies who wear Pink and Green. We love the colors Pink and Green, and are thrilled to emphasize our Love of GREEN!! Our slogan for this campaign is “Pink goes GREEN!”
Improving our environment and saving our air, water and other natural resources is the responsibility of every world citizen. We believe that if each person does a little bit, our collective efforts can and will make a difference, therefore we included this commitment to the environment in our Miss Fashionetta 2010 program.
This year we have demonstrated our commitment by making some changes to our Miss Fashionetta Program. Instead of displaying all the ads that our participants have obtained in support of their scholarship awards in a hard bound 300+ page book as we have in the past, we have launched our website found at www.Missfashionetta.com, where you can see a web page for each participant and the ads that support all of our participants. We encourage you to view our web page. Then, show your support of our program by patronizing the businesses in our community that have supported these young ladies and our scholarship program. In addition, when you support the businesses, let them know that you viewed their business advertisements on the Miss Fashionetta website.
